Turtle perspective


I have been considered about life in general and there are a few questions that I��d like to ask you. To be honest, the questions have to do with my shell. You may think it��s odd but they are quite important for me. To human beings, the most unique part about a turtle is its shell, isn��t it? I think most people appreciate its beauty although I would never know since I can��t really see my own shell. So I don��t really know whether its beautiful or not. The only thing I know is that it protects me from harm. Because of its beauty and uniqueness, people have different uses for it. First, some people in China use them to tell fortunes. Second, some people in Morocco sell the shells as decorative souvenirs to tourists. What��s good for human beings is not really good for us turtles. Because our shells are prized, we lose our lives so that people can do whatever they want. This is very frustrating and scary. To make matter worse, human beings also desire our meat and eggs. They use them as delicacies. Can you believe that? They steal our eggs from the sandy beaches and catch our fellow turtle-friends just so that they can eat us. Life is complicated enough already without these human factors. So tell me what is a turtle to do to improve his future in life? Sometimes I wish I could be a human instead because life is much easier this way.
